PROLOGUE

The unspoilt magnificent natural beauty and scenery reproduces the modest activities of the people who live there merge with the Shimo (the first ward only ruby / Shiribeshi) district and Niseko scenery. The seasonal expression created by the overwhelming power of nature attracts and impresses the viewer. However, the changing seasons are so delicate that the landscape changes every day by the hour, or by the minute. The seasonal changes are so subtle that they are not noticeable blending in the four seasons or 24 seasons. It is difficult to tell the seasons that change with the accumulation of subtle changes that are not noticeable in four seasons or 24 seasons. This is because the scenery that touches the heart is spreading only at the subtle boundaries of the season. The scenery of Niseko meant you can always experience the confronting nature in the slow flow of time, the beauty of the northern earth. Niseko’s expression can occur anytime, we would like you to be here to experience it all. “Raku Suisan” has begun to walk with the seasons toward its birth. When winter comes again, the encounter with ” Raku Suisan ” in this area is waiting for the beginning of bygone.

Spring

Half a year of harsh winter covered in snow passes by. As the snow melts, and the ground come to life with new leaves sprouting under the warm sunshine. Plants that bloom in the still cold air in the soft sunshine is like a “spring fairy.” The twin cherry trees in Niseko town are also preparing to sprout leaves on the snow-resistant branches. Although snow remained at the summit of the magnificent Mt. Yotei, the breath of life is felt everywhere. The Shiribetsu River rises 2m higher than in summer as the snow melts to water the crops. In Hokkaido, plums, peaches and cherry blossoms bloom as if they are competing against each other. It is only in Hokkaido that you can see various flowers at the same time. In late May, Shibazakura is in full bloom, and the contrast between the pink ground and the fresh green is fascinating.

Summer

Summer is short in Hokkaido. Niseko will experience summer between late June to early September. It is around this time all the trees grow with full vitality. Refreshing air with low humidity. Mt. Yotei stands out clearly in green with a clear blue sky as a backdrop reflecting the best summer time of Niseko. The locals are very proud of Mt. Yotei’s beauty at this time of the year. Summer is always a great time for outdoor activities such as cycling, camping and rafting. If you go a little further, you can see the spectacular scenery of Shinsennuma where the locals believe is inhabited by gods based on the beauty of the swamp area. Besides the swamp area, if you are fond of the Japan Sea coastline. It is worth a trip to Shakotan. It is famous for the beauty shoreline which the locals call it Shakotan Blue. Don’t miss this opportunity to see both while you are here in Niseko.

Autumn

When the short summer comes to an end, the mountains are covered in autumn leaves. Hokkaido’s autumn leaves are famous for their gradation of red, yellow and brown. The Niseko Panorama Line, runs through the brightly colored mountains, is a great driving route. Large panorama of clear blue sky and colored leaves spreads. Shinsennuma is colored with autumn leaves, and the deep and clear lake surface reflects the autumn leaves like a mirror, further deepening the tranquil atmosphere of the scenic view of the swamp area. With the huge difference in temperature between day and night in Niseko, it helps to produce the best crops in Hokkaido. Starting with the famous Hokkaido Potatoes, pumpkins, tomatoes, beans and many wide varieties of autumn vegetables. This high-quality agricultural produce grown by local producers with pride and great care. Niseko and the Shimo area are treasure trove of vegetables, meat, seafood and other ingredients. One of the charms of autumn is you can enjoy dishes that are made from the fresh produce of Niseko, Hokkaido and even the whole Japan. Soon, the scenery will change gradually towards winter season.

Winter

Niseko is famous for its long winter. The white world wrapped in silence spreads, and the earth goes to sleep under the frigid air. The trees stand quietly in the snow, and the low sunlight casts long shadows over the snowy fields. Mt. Yotei covered in snow looks beautiful and noble from a distance. In the morning, the sun emerges from beyond Mt. Yotei, and the scenery that dyes the snowy field red is only natural beauty during this time. Under the silence of a snowy field, the soil is resting slowly storing energy for the coming spring. Niseko Annupuri has four vast ski slopes, attracts skiers and snowboarders from all over the world looking for one of the best powder snow in Niseko. Take this opportunity to experience the best season of the year in Niseko.
